Councilwoman Carbone-McDonald launches three new Ward 5 programs

The Post Newspapers

NORTH ROYALTON – North Royalton Ward 5 Councilwoman Dawn Carbone- McDonald campaigned for over a year sharing her vision for a more vibrant North Royalton. Now officially in her third month serving as the newest member of Council, she is excited to begin to implement parts of that vision with the announcement of her official launch of three new programs in her ward that support both residents and businesses.

The first program is the Guardian Angel Program that creates an all-volunteer network of community members to help residents in need of an extra hand for indoor or outdoor maintenance tasks such as: general house cleaning, small home projects, trash pickup, lawn mowing, leaf raking, and snow plowing/shoveling. Residents do not have to live in Ward 5 to participate. The second program

is the Ward 5 New Resident Welcome Wagon Program which Councilwoman Carbone-McDonald personally visits each new resident to the ward, provides a welcome guide to the city, and a warm welcome to their new home. The third program is the Ward 5 Business of the Quarter in which a local business will be highlighted each quarter of the year for the special things they do to give back to the community and help support local businesses who have been hurt the last two years by COVID-19.

“I am so excited to finally rollout my new programs now that I am on Council. The Guardian Angel, New Resident Welcome Wagon, and Ward 5 Business of the Quarter programs were inspired by all the residents and businesses I met last year campaigning. I am looking forward to making all of these programs successful as I am honored to serve the residents of Ward 5 and North Royalton on City Council. The more we all work together the greater difference we can make for our entire community,” said Carbone-McDonald.

If interested in volunteering for any of these programs please contact Councilwoman Carbone-McDonald at (440) 694-9446 or Ward5@northroyalton.org
